When a woman makes a decision to do a Boudoir shoot with me it seems as though there's not much that can stop her from getting it done. Sonya contacted me to book her Boudoir photoshoot a few months back. She was driving in from Gatineau (about 2 hours away) so we agreed to play it by ear weather wise. The day finally came for her shoot....but then Murphy stepped in; he definitely had other plans for us that day!
The morning of her boudoir photoshoot a huge snow storm hit the area. Ottawa and Montreal were affected. I called Sonya to see if she wanted to reschedule - the radio was telling everyone to stay off the roads unless you really needed to be out there. But regardless of the warnings, Sonya hit the road super early as she knew her 2 hour drive would be far longer than that. Meanwhile, much closer to home, Daly H (my fabulous makeup artist) also hit the road to run errands before her appointment. It wasn't long before the road conditions got the best of her and she had a car accident; she spun out on the highway, did a few 360s hitting the guardrail a few times along the way. Her car was a total right-off and needless to say, she was a total wreck. But in true awesomeness, Daly settled up with the police officer and tow-truck, and made her way to Tim's to get herself a coffee and wait for me to pick her up. Sonya arrived at the studio not long after. Now THAT is determination.....laced with a half a cup of silliness! Ladies, I think you may have taken the old saying, "you have to suffer to be beautiful" just a little toooooo far. ;) But I'm happy to have spent the cold, snowy day with you both! Thank you for letting me use some of your photos Sonya!
Take that Murphy! You and your silly law ain't got nothin' on us!
Have a wonderful Friday! xoxo
