Recently, my good friend Jen had an idea; she and Carlos had just celebrated their 5th year wedding anniversary and she wanted to do a wedding themed photo-shoot. She explained how when she and Carlos got married they opted not to hire a professional photographer. They thought it would an cool and different idea to distribute disposable cameras on each of the tables and allow the guests to document their special day, in their own way and perspective. It sounded like a super creative idea at the time, but in hind sight, she wished she hadn't done it. The kids had gotten a hold of all the cameras and she ended up with pictures of rocks, shoes, bugs and fields of dandelions. She told me how devastated she was to not have ONE single wedding photo worth the paper it was printed on. She said she's always hated not having any photos of her special day, and wished she could do it all over again. So when she asked if I would do a wedding themed shoot with her and Carlos, there was only ONE answer I could give; HECK YEAH!
Jen had a couple special requests; she wanted something non-traditional, with a bit of a rockers edge (which is really funny for anybody who knows Jen....she's a total Hip-Hop girl and practically has all the lyrics to Rob Base's It Takes Two, tattooed on her back-side! lol). She also wanted to bring her baby, Toby, and most of all, she just wanted to hang out with her hubby and have some fun.
And me? I just couldn't resist. We managed to have a blast that afternoon, and hopefully I was able to create something she can hold onto for years to come.
Happy 5th Anniversary - Love you guys! xoxo
