I read my "New Client Inquiry" email from Mlle J and pretty much did the happy dance when I saw she worked at La Vie En Rose....how perfect was that? No need to suggest where she could buy lingerie for her shoot, that was for sure! I might even admit to having had a slight pang of jealousy flush over me. But one thing I've learned over the years, I could never, ever, EVER work for A) a lingerie company, B) a clothing company, C) a shoe company. Yup...I'm pretty sure each week, my entire salary would be turned back over to my employer in order to pay for all the amazing purchases. And I'd probably STILL owe money! No, definitely not an option for me. lol

J showed up to her shoot with the largest suitcase filled with gorgeous pieces and amazing accessories. I certainly wish we had more time to go through everything in her arsenal. I had never seen so many hats, feathers, and awesome accessories. She was super awesome and I wish I had had a bit more time with her. Here's to a second shoot, Mademoiselle J! xoxo

There are so many shots I get of my lovely ladies which don't necessarily showcase their beautiful face, but Show their figures only. There are always a few from every photoshoot which become some of favorite shots anyways. I've decided that Fridays are the perfect day to showcase some of these anonymous beauties.

Lady B was the big winner of the last Facebook contest and was so excited to be having her own Boudoir shoot. Recently, B has been taking pole dancing classes and loved that she could add another activity to help celebrate her femininity. You go, B!

 

Lady D - Ottawa Boudoir

I headed down the 417 yesterday for a full day of shooting alongside the awesome Bri Anderson-Jackson of Voulez-Vous Boudoir in Ottawa. We have such an awesome chemistry and have SO much fun working together, it's almost a crime to call it "work"!

First up on the schedule was the amazing Lady D! D came in especially for an "Eat Your Heart Out" session - a session dedicated to boyfriends of past who will never know what they have until it's gone. We had so much fun with D, and she totally rocked it out! Hopefully her ex will see these one day and realize what a fool he was! Yes, he definitely can eat his heart out!

Sweet Serenity Miss G | Montreal Boudoir Photography

Miss G is the epitome of the "Stepford Wife"; beautiful wife, involved mother of 2, and always dressed to the nines as she keeps the household running smoothly and perfectly while she tends to the various charities she helps raise money for. And not only is she beautiful, she has to be one of the sweetest, most genuine woman I've ever met. So I was quite excited when she called to say she was taking a bit of time out of her crazy schedule to treat herself with a sexy shoot with me!  

One thing I loved the most about photographing her was this soft, peaceful serenity she has about her, despite all the crazy things going on in her life. Thank you Miss G, it was awesome spending time with you.

Friday Infatuation - High Waist Panties

Whether you call them undies, panties, knickers, drawers, or even ginch, underwear is an everyday necessity. As a Boudoir photographer, my infatuation with underwear / lingerie is kind of justified (yaay me!). Even before becoming a tog, I absolutely loved seeing the latest Victoria's Secret styles - seems others did too cause my catalogue would get jacked on a regular basis if I brought it to the office!

My new lingerie infatuation as of late tho definitely has to be the high-waisted brief. I LOVE them! Ask any guy and he'd probably say, "WHAT? No way!" 

Yes. Way. Let me tell you, these beauties are not your granny's ol' panties! Here are couple I've fallen in love with:

From Agent Provacateur, the Edith Brief. At $290 a pair, you really need to love high-waisted panties tho.

From Victoria's Secret, these navy blue honies are a must have!

I'm totally in love with the vintage inspired lingerie collection at Lucy B. Priced between $35 - $50 their high waists are the perfect addition to any underwear drawer. ;) The Denim Doll High Waist is super adorable! And of course there's no way I could go without the Tigress, the Midnight or the Mink High Waisted beauties!

And now even Forever 21 has jumped on the vintage inspired band-wagon, offering high waisted panties at a very moderate $6.80 a pair! If that's not enough to stock up, I don't know what is!!

Public Service Announcement: There is officially less than 40 days until Christmas!

For me, the panic hasn't set in...yet. Just for the record, I'm one of those people you find running through the mall on December 23rd & 24th, trying to get my shopping finished up. Truth be told, it's really not because I'm a procrastinator. The real reason is I just cannot keep a surprise for the life of me! I am a BIG kid when it comes to giving presents. For years I would shop for my loved ones, planning and searching for the perfect gift; then when I found it, I'd wrap it with the best papers, ribbons and bows. I would see it sitting there under the tree and get so overly excited there was no way I could wait until Christmas to give it. And in turn, the guilt of suddenly not having anything to give on Christmas day sent me back to mall to shop all over again. I finally realized that shopping at the last minute, albeit a tad stressful, saves me tons of money!

The Girl Can't Help It

...she really can't help it, she's that hot!

In honour of her upcoming Birthday, here's a quick video of the gorgeous Miss S who I recently shot with. You'll probably recognize her from my website - I fell in love with so many of her photos and she graciously allowed me to use them on my site. Love her style. Love her look. And her lingerie closet is to DIE for, filled with awesome vintage pieces from the 40s & 50s. There were definitely more than a few pieces I would love to have as my own. :)
